Een gigantisch bedankje richting vriendlief, voor het doorsturen van dit filmpje. Want o man, wat zijn deze jochies toch fantastisch. Het feit dat ze het doel van de tegenstander nog nooit hebben bedreigd, dat ze na tientallen verloren wedstrijden nog steeds fanatiek het clublied zingen en hoe ze over dat goal-moment dromen. Deze tandloze kinderen relativeren: waarom zijn wij altijd bezig met meer, met scoren, met geld en werk, terwijl het vroeger allemaal niet uitmaakte, zolang je maar je best deed? We zijn een beetje vergeten hoe het moet, met een glimlach verliezen. Het is tijd voor een vriendschappelijke wedstrijd zonder druk, waarbij het niet uitmaakt of je de bal in je eigen goal schopt, of überhaupt aanraakt. Of ik vol passie win, of met twintig-een verlies, na de wedstrijd drink ik een biertje met mijn 'vijanden'. I'm in.
Thanks boyfried, for let me noticing these children. How touching are these little boys (and girl)? Their motivation is something half the world doesn't have. After so many losses, they still tend to sing their clubsong out loud. Si, si, si senor, we we'll win, we are the best. They believe it, and eventually, they will score. But how about us? Don't we give up hope after we lose, do we lose with a smile on our faces? We forgot how it's like to play for something unimportant, we race for the money, our work and more. It's time for a friendly game, no matter who loses or wins, I'm in.
