TOPLOOKS | July

One thing about holidays is that you are unable to check whatever blog you like, but that is also a plus. By skipping a month of precious blogposts, its almost like a present when you get home. A selection of four outfits who topped my July.

1. Iina K. from Pure Love
In need for instant glamour? Put some cateyes on and add some spice to your wardrobe. Iina wears her white blouse with some dark blue silk shorts, topped it of with a pair of vulnerable white sandals and ready to go! I like the boxy shape of her blouse and the navy blue, one of my favourites for this fall.

2. Maria van Nguen from Vanillascented
This lady is no surprise in my Toplooks-list. But, extra special this time, she made her outfit by herself. The stiff white coat is her latest design, and it fits somewhere between cool ninja's and judo sportswear. I am impressed by the amount of tailoring, the choice of material and the fit.

3. Marie from Blame it On Fashion
I still have got to experiment with baseball jackets, but I can rely on inspiration from Marie. She pulls it off, quite flattering actually, with a knotted skirt and simple basics. I long for her Dannijo necklace and that pair of sandals fit my closet perfectly as well.

4. Ivania Carpio from Love Aesthetics
Ivania never fails to impress me. This geometry-inspired playsuit is wonderful in its simplicity. The pastel-grey combination is fascinating, like the blue nailpolish (and Ivania's haircolour) in this case. More details of those folded pockets please!

BEAUTY | Salmon and Garfunkel

ph / Personal

I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud. Whoever makes up the names of new nailpolishes deserves his own comedyshow. After 'Sold Out Forever' and 'In The Bronx', I am now the proud owner of 'Salmon and Garfunkel' by Catrice. The nude, slightly orange of this polish turns out to be a perfect pair with my tanned feet. They survived over two weeks of swimming, beach-walking, kayaking and flipflopping, applause please. For under two euros, this polish could easily be my new best friend.

HA.

UPDATE | Welcome back

ph / Personal

Oh well, welcome back. I spent the last three weeks in an oldtimer Mercedes with my boyfriend, crossing the countryside of France from deserted beaches to tiny idyllic villages, from blue flowing streams to the capital of love, light and fashion: Paris. Besides a slight tan and a peacefulness I have been missing for a while, I also found renewed inspiration for FreshFix.

Good news on the other hand: by passing my economy test, I am proud to be an official fashion student at AMFI from now on. I am working on an apartment nearby Amsterdam, preparing for all changes yet to come and finishing the enormous amount of paperwork that comes with studying. Although these weeks could be the busiest ever, here I am full of passion and excitement. Bring it on!

NEW FACE | Elin Tveitan

This is the first time typing on my computer in four days. There will be limited updates in another three weeks, since I move a part of me to France. I will try to pre-post some messages, but with a tight scheduled timetable, I might not succeed. Don't kill the messenger!

However, I couldn't kept designer Elin Tveitan unnoticed, so here is a small selection of her white sprayed studs from the latest Esmod's Graduation Show. I am fascinated by the easy DIY possibilities that are hidden in these photographs. And how cool are the metallic details?
